1 month and 2 months

Weight: 9lbs 7 oz
Height: 21 inch

I don't know how it is possible that an entire month has gone by.  Quickly.

Sydney has been breastfed, exclusively now for a month.  Every month I reach is a milestone for me and I am so happy to be able to provide this for her.  She hasn't even had a bottle yet. I noticed we were having some latching issues. After some googling it appeared that Sydney had a lip tie.  I contacted the LC and brought it up to our pediatrician also, both confirmed, lip tie. A week later we saw an excellent periodontist who came highly recommended for lip and tongue tie procedures on babies and children. Sydney had the procedure done that day in the office and within 5 minutes she was done and immediately nursing after all was said and done.

The LC came to the house within her 6th week to check on things and check her latch.  The LC brought her scale and weighed her before and after a feeding, which after her feeding she weighed 10.9lbs!

Breastfeeding, I don't even know what to say.  Exclusively breast feeding is hands down, the hardest thing I have ever done.  It is so much commitment and dedication.  Without the support of the hubby, I don't know how far I would make it. He is wonderful and so knowledgeable.  He reads just as much as I do, researches and continues to be my biggest cheerleader.  I am so thankful for him.

Sydney has been hands on since day 1.  She likes to be held, doesn't like to be put down.  We go back and forth on holding her.  I started wearing her all the time in the Baby K'tan.  So thankful for it.  I really don't even use the stroller.  I wear her all over the house, out running errands.

She started smiling in her 6th week and it melts me, especially after all her crying episodes.

She HATES, I mean HATES the car.  Screams bloody murder when we get in the car until she is out of the seat.  It is heartbreaking but there is nothing we can do.  We have tried 2 different car seats, different cars, nothing seems to matter.  Sometimes we will get a good 10 minutes and think she has grown out of this and then boom, the blood curdling screams start.

She was doing good naps, 3 hour spurts and then in her 7th week she said screw it, I am going to see how long I can go without napping.  She has lasted the past few days on the longest nap being a half hour.

As we arrived closer to 2 months, she has become much better with the car.  We can go longer periods of time without her screaming.  That has been a blessing.

Her 2 month appointment went well, she had all her shots and handled them well at the dr visit. Per the dr, I nursed her immediately after the shots, I was derobed and ready to go.  That being said, she only whimpered for a few moments.  The rest of the day however, was crazy.  She screamed and screamed, we had to give her tylenol.  The day passed and she was back to her self.

She smiles so much now. Below is her 2 month update!
